A new year is a great way to make new decisions.  Many people use resolutions as a way to create a launching platform for inspiration of wanted goals.  Many people see the new year as a changing of mental attitude to complete what they usually procrastinate.  It is the fresh start that we all look for to shed off our disappointments and focus on a getting what we want for the upcoming year.

2012 provides many new opportunities.  We are living in a different time where economic fears are becoming part of our daily mental environment.  Most people will be focusing on all the reasons why it will be difficult to create success.  This creates a great opportunity to set goals of success but it is important to understand that one of your goals must be to maintain a positive mental focus for the entire year.

2012 can be a great year of personal success if you maintain both your daily mental attitude and daily activity.  Procrastination may have been your greatest adversity to success but that is only because you have not taken the time to create a strategy to overcome what you have procrastinated.  I often think about this when I procrastinate cleaning my garage and when I open the door, the first thing that I think about is where do I start.  It is only after thinking about where and how do I get inspired to get started and after sorting through my mess I get motivated to finish.

Remember that inspiration may get you started but after seeing what you have accomplished will give you the motivation to finish.  Motivation is a self decision that creates the desire to complete.
